Brewery tours
From the lager cellars to the brewery’s chimney, from the first thought of beer to how we brew it every day. It’s our pleasure to show you all aspects of the Bernard brewery. Welcome!
Tour of brewery operations
This is no museum you’ll be visiting. We’ll guide you through the real operation. You’ll get to know the taste and smell of the ingredients we use to produce beer. For example, you’ll learn why we need the shells of prehistoric diatom algae, you’ll taste the malt, and at the end you will be able to tell the hopped wort from the sweet wort. And there’s no missing the brewhouse, the lager cellars, or the bottling line. What gives us the greatest pleasure is when visitors leave with a new feeling — that they understand the spirit of beer.
REGULAR TOUR TIMES
Mon.-Fri.: 16:00Sat.: 11:00; 14:00
Sun.: 14:00
We recommend reserving a place.
We’ll be taking you through actual operations, and for technical reasons you may not see some parts of production. We don’t brew beer on weekends, so you’ll see the technology, but not in full operation.
Unfortunately, the space is not barrier-free. Wheelchairs and baby carriages therefore won’t make it through the tour.
We love animals, especially Saint Bernards. However, for safety reasons they can’t join you on the tour, even if you carry them.
Brewery lookout tower
The Bernard brewery, the town of Humpolec and its magnificent surroundings in the heart of the Vysočina region will be in the palm of your hand. It’s 189 steps to the walkway around the brewery’s functioning chimney. And by the way, just for the hike, you get a small beer. Just present a marked chimney ticket in the beerhouse.
The Bernard family brewery — Past and present
Since the beginning, Bernard has gone its own way. Wherever you wander, you can view an exhibition in the Visitor Centre, where there is even a 3D model of the brewery premises. The exhibition is an inseparable part of the brewery tour, but the exhibition can’t be visited separately.
